smak sky walker for me as it has given me the best results from the ones i have triesd i have also tried r2s buggi pops which were also good but didnt have as good a hook up ratio as the skywalker and the rebel tiny popr which was alright i thought it was a little to big but just my opinion

I like the little Koolabung cicada fizzer thing(can't rmember the name). I think it's just a confidence thing with me, it just looks like what the bream would expect to fall into the water.

What sort of areas do you catch bream on the surface? I've got various surface lures but never seriously targeted bream on them so don't have a favourite.

Swoffa,
is the Koolabung fizzer the one moulded from a real cicada?

What’s the go with surface lures at the Clyde round

It seemed that everyone except for me was using them.

Up until this weekend just gone I would have never really thought about using them on Bream.

I’m expecting to see Berkeley gulp minnows (in one particular colour) and cicada surface lure sales to go through the roof

cheers, Nathan

Got one of those, haven't managed anything on it yet. Don't really have much luck with the old surface lure. Don't even have that much success with bass.

River2Sea buggi in black is my go to lure but only closely followed by studmans Kooabung cicarder fizzer in either red/yellow or black

as said before it is a confindance thing your fav lure will always be the one you use the most
as for those poor fellas out there that hasn't used them before you truly don't know what your missing out on

it is truly the most exciting way to fish for either bream or bass
for places to try them i will give you a few genral ones

Over rock bars or oysters
under jettys or trees
next to poontoons
but the best way too look at it is just try areas where it is clear that bugs would fall in

i have caught bream on surface lures almost all times of the year but they are better in the warmer summer months when you have alot more flying bugs around
