Clionext??? Do you rate them??

Hi all,

I'm woundering what peoples thoughs are on the 2" Clionext from nextone???? (see pic below).

Be interested to hear peoples thoughts!!! They certainly look funky

They are eco friendly like the eyeball tails.

Have heard they kill on bass.....to bad we don't have bass

It is very interesting never seen one before looks like it would work really well in a strong current with all those little leg thingys

how do u rig those things?

am guessing some sort of drop shot presentation through the middle of that tube looking thingy?

I have been told you can rig them from one end to the other (jighead goes in at tenticles).

I have also been told it can be rigged through the middle.

I would think if you rigged them end to end the tenticles would go up on the drop and down on the lift....certain look interesting!!

I've been using the clionext for about 3 weeks now. I havenâ€™t had any luck but thatâ€™s not because of the lure

I have been rigging them on 1/32 jigs and flicking them at moored boats and pontoons and any other footing structure that the Bream get under.

They are really buoyant so the sink rate slows right down which is the really good thing about these plastics when you want real a finesse application.

They have the most wicked looking tentacles (or what ever you want to call them) and when you put them in water they open right out and flutter making them look exactly like a spider crab.

People I know have been flicking these around weightless for Bream.
What they do is chuck out a bread berley and then use them weightless on worm and the floating Jig heads. When the Bream start breaking the surface getting at the Bread all you need to do is cast out your weightless pearl white clionext and wait till you get hammered

They can also be rigged on a heavier head and bounce them across the bottom to imitate a small occy. We all know Snapper love fresh occy

Anyways I would rate them pretty highly

nath where do u get them? i love those things they look like crappie spiders, and i absolutely love crappies

I bought some crappie spiders when they were first made available on BM. That extra "hairy bit" doesn't seem to do the lure any favours for me. I've been plucking them out so I'm left with a single tail grub and after I did that I got hits. This clionex looks like its all hair!!! My guess is it probably works where there's a lot of baby squid around and the fish are feeding on them..
