Access to Breammaster website

I'd been having regular problems getting into the breammaster website. The error message that comes up is too many connections or something like that. I'm just wondering if it was my computer or the website that's being upgraded or downtime..
Could it be my system (Windows NT) that is not quite up to handling it?

Its actually the scripting at the hosted end. It would appear that it isnt the best and shuts down when it gets slightly overworked.

In as simple laymans terms as I can put it, the back end or programing of the Web Server is incorrectly figured and cant handle a certain number of users.

That explains why I couldn't get in but someone else already in could send me a PM (which for obvious reasons I couldn't read).

Yeah when you get:

Quote:
cannot connect to database....to many users
Or something similar there are too many people online. Just come back in a little while and you may be lucky enough to get in.

It should be able to be fixed........

There are other errors at times that AREN'T to do with too many users e.g bandwidth exceeded....to much stuff downloaded from breammaster....more than their limit.

Also, I've stopped getting email notifications when I get a PM. Maybe its a setting on the PM area that I unknowingly set... I'd turned off the email notification for replies to posts because I'd get way too many emails..

There are some performance issues with the site. Its not the BM gys themselves but again the hoster. The email notifications have been disabled because of performance issues from memory.
There is a few things that the hosters need to fix but its not an easy fix.
Im sure Bear is looking for alternative suppliers and a little birdy tells me they will be Australian. That way they can at least have contact with them.
The major problem with sites that get high traffic volumes (3-5gig/month) is that Aus does not have the infrastructure to charge competiative prices for hosting. Aus servers charge quite alot per month for high volume services. Some over over 1000/m. This is a huge amount of cash for a free service site

bubba,

I would guess breammaster would have a lot more than 3-5gig per month!!! (3000-5000mb...close enough)

I have 3gig already this month and my site is WAY smaller!!!

I'm allowed 20gig with my service and its REALLY quite cheap (australian too)!!! I make NOTHING out of my site....
