black diamond blanks

cindy
i've been taling to traveller on another site about your rods and
i was wondering what are black diamond doing. are they going to stay with batson or get blanks some where else

i read that the brand rainshadow of batson made by Cascade Composite has closed it's doors and as from jan 05
batson will be only importing from o/s and market under forecast until they get a new usa manufactuer on board

Hello im412,

The factory that produced the Rainshadow blanks closed recently but Batson has another USA factory building their USA blanks as of Jan. (They have a large stock to carry them over.) They will still be Rainshadow blanks from USA.
(Btw, the Cascade Composite factory produced a number of different companies' blanks, not just Rainshadow. )

They will have a number of new Rainshadow USA models as well. As far as their o/s Forecast range, it will still remain as they have been, although they have added a number of new travel blanks. (Your info on this bit was incorrect.)

As far as what we will do in the future, that is hard to say. We are happy with Batson's top quality and I doubt that will change. We love the American blanks and will continue in the same manner. All the models we currently use are from the Cascade factory in USA and I am well stocked. We will only produce rods ona top quality product so no fears there. It is unfortunate that Cascades closed but other doors have opened for Batson's. Their components as well are absolutely going from strength to strength. We will be showing more new awesome Batson products soon that I have not seen any where else!

Hope that clears things up for you.
Cheers,
Cindy

You are most welcomed im412. One day we hope to be able to attend one of those b/d in SA. Trav's a great guy and he certainly has quite a collection to show you! Good to try them out. That is always the best way to see what suits you. Let me know how you go.
Cheers,
Cindy

Congrats Glenn.
Just be sure to lay down the rules and let her know that fishing comes first, and if the weather is good on the wedding day you'll be going fishing instead...

Well

A little off topic, but I was keen to jump in and have a say on the BD subject.

I'm well pleased coz today I just purchased a BD Bluestone from Cindy and hope to get it early next week.

Chucky has been driving me insane with his pictures and then Snapps got in on the act... then it was all too much. Eddystone took the time to answer an IM and give me some positives and in the end I had no choice.

Bluestone breaming here I come.

YEAH BABY
