Rusty Trailer Guards

I got a slight problem that i may need some info on. The mudguards on the trailer is rusted to the shite house and the lighting system to the brakes ect are attached to it. How will i go about fixing or replacing the mudguard.
Ill get some pictures up tommorow night of the problem and that way it will show some insite where the rust is and how bad it is and whether its worth fixing or replacing.

Bolted and all rusted which was kinda a pain to get off. We got one off tonight but we had to cut the wires to the lighting system unfortunetly.

lucky they're not welded, that woulda been a DohDohDohDohDoh to get off, go to a boat shop and check out the white plastic guards, they don't rust and they look pretty flashy, should be easy to mount trailer lights to aswell

by the way, hows the tinny goin, i read your post in the 'it begins forum, you got the motor goin yet? I'm currently doin up a 12ft fibreglass rig at the moment, and doin a floor similar to what the finatic did. woulda prefered a tinnie, but you can't say no to a free boat!!!

cough cough well im a lil slack see and im only now starting to fix her up. Were gonna start with the trailer and make it worthy of getting to the water before we put the decking ect in. We still gotta fix the motor but we came to realise (hoping) its only something tiny stopping the motor from running.

*fuel
cheak these things if u can't get ur hands on a compression tester just give it to ur marine mechanic

Don’t go pulling the motor over until you have greased the pistons other wise you may scuff the boar and screw the motor right up.

To test if it could be scuffing take off the motor cover and turn the "wheelie thingy" with both hands, if you feel any pressure or hear and nasty scraping noises STOP. Take it to a marine joint and get it looked at by a pro.

cheers, Nathan

likewise dagga, ive got a 15hp, which hasn't been used for ages, went to start her up the other day, but no go!!! now i gota take it in for a service, but i think i'll give the spark plugs a once over first and see if it starts then, cos the two stroke left in the piston chambers could have seprated, while in storage, leaving greasy DohDohDohDoh on the sparkers, and that might be the only thing stopn it. YOu should probly try chekn your spark plugs too
