Rod for Large SP's
I'm looking for a rod suitable for fishing large SP's off when chasing mulloway in southern waters or just about anything that swims in northern waters. I've narrowed my selection down to two possibilities, the Millerods Beast Buster or the Nitro Distance Spin Magnum butt.
Could anyone who has used either rod share their opinions/comments on the suitability of these for the intended purpose. Thanks |

I use a BeastBuster for casting heavier plastics for jews and unweighted stickbaits for kings and it's awesome. I've matched it with a Certate 2500R-Custom and 10lb Fireline, I've ordered a spare spool which I'll fill with 14lb.
The best feature of this rod is how well it casts, I'll be using it for HB's for bream in the racks next time I hit them. It also has plenty of pulling power, it's great in sharp country.

Hi Swoffa
Thanks for the info. I was leaning more towards the Beast Buster as the rod of choice. The only prob I have is not being able to physically compare one against the other. Decisions, Decisions. |
