New Boat

Well i have had this in the back yard for a week and been too bloody crook the take it out for a run

but today i managed to get it out for a quick run and wow i thought that 40hp would be a bit anemic.

well i like the blast tech that HONDA have on their donks this thing from a standing start is flat out in

about 3-4 seconds if your quick enough on the trim switch .

i will do a better report over the week end and with better pics in day light

cheers TAC

Nothing better than the feeling of a new boat.

Looks the goods TAC. what kind exactly? will be looking at upgrading my boat in the next 6-12 months and Bluefin high up the list....only heard good reports. Thinking a drifter tournament in the 4 or 4.2m. keen to hear how you get on and any further info from anyone with one of these.

Cheers

ok it's a bluefin rogue 4.2m nothing flash just a chine to chine floor
and casting deck .

now if you will be doing a lot of rough water fishing 15 to 20 knots in
open water don't get this one get a 4.35 model as they have a better rough water hull they call it ezirider .

if you look at the hull pic you will see it doesn't have much of a variable
deadrise .

so yesterday when i was out on the gippy lakes there was just a 10 to 12 knot breeze and it definitely rides a lot harder than my 3.95 seawasp

but the hull is very stable i am a big bugger (120kg) and when i stand on the side deck it only list's about 15* .

speed was ok for a brand new donk at 55 kph or around 30 knots but i will say this it is built like a tank .

cheers TAC

well i finally got out to get a pic of how stable it is .

in the 4.2 class it will take a lot of beating for a so

called v bottom tinny but as i said the rough water

performance is lacking a bit .

and i ain't no light weight .
