Tough leader

Hi everyone, Im having trouble with big Flathead sawing through my trace. I am using Shimano Ocea in 10 lb. Have tried 16 but it cuts down the casting distance. what is the hardest trace around, or are they all similar in this application. Thanks Howard.

I just tie a short leader onto my fluro leader with a double uni knot. I use 12lb for flathead. I only run about a foot of the heavy leader

Bite leader. 8lb leader with a 10cm length of 16lb on the end.

Thank you. I did just that last night. 10 lb leader with a 16 lb "bite leader". Will let you know how I go today. shaping up to be a good one!! " I hope"
