Lots of water inside Quintrex hull

Hi all,
I bought a quintrex hornet about a year ago, and ever since I have noticed that there is a LOT of water that comes out of the drain when I undo the bungs after every trip, and even after a few hours of fishing the bilge occasionally comes on.

I had a thorough look through the hull for any cracks and couldn't find anything, the plumbing seems to be ok but I didn't have a completely close look at it.

Is this normal? Where could all this water be coming from?

Best way to check is fill it with some water and see where its leaking out. Lift the boat up and down with the jockey wheel to swirl the water from front to back. Usually leaks around the housings that hold the bungs or could be a pin hole somewhere. Might be best to disconnect the pump to check it.

Check the bait tank pump and connections, when I had one the pump used to leak as it was worn out.

fill with water. Mine was leaking from the bait pump inlet since brand new. Fixed with a dab of silicone.

Fill it with water. It's the only way to check if the hull is A-OK

Another thing to try is to put a little spit on the bungs rubbers before doing them up (each time), I found on my Quintrex for the first couple of trips it would have a little water come out when I took the bungs out. The little bit of lube lets the bung seat a bit better IMO. Worked for me.

Went through the same thing with my proline. Re silicone everything redrill the poprivits that hold the bung hole in place in the end it was a length of weld along the keel that was not welded to the keel only welded to the hull sheet. The dealer didn't want to know about it so I had to pull everything up and film it before action was taken.

It's a pain but you might have to do that
