Any One Imported a Boat Recently

As much as I'd like to support Aussie Boat dealers, the dropping dollar is pushing a new multi-species boat out of reach. So importing a 6-7 year old boat, looks to be a much more affordable option.

I'm looking for information good or bad on (East Coast) companies that people may have used in the past. A search of the net comes up with a lot of companies that import boats, but separating the good from the bad is always a lot harder.

I'm not after importing info, as I am up to speed with costs, taxes, trailer permits, fumigation and all other aspects of importing a boat.

Thanks in advance.

Although I didn't end up needing to import a boat, I had numerous conversations with Stephen at SS Boats Australia. He was upfront with fees and charges and could arrange to get the boat anywhere I needed it (Brisbane in this case) hassle free.

If I was to go down that path I would give him the opportunity to do the job.
