Rod for hatch 7+

Hey fellas, I'm new to fly fishing and recently purchased a hatch 7plus so now I'm chasing a rod to pair it up with. im not the greatest caster in the world thats for sure so I need something that's easy to cast (if that exists ) as for price a I don't really have a budget. I will be mainly flats fishing if that helps ?

Cheers Josh

Hatch 7+ is the perfect size for 8-9wt rods. For flats fishing with that reel I'd go a 9wt rod, that's assuming we are talking about flats in the tropics.
I Don't buy into the whole this rod is easier to cast than that rod argument. End of the day bad casting and poor technique looks the same no matter what rod is being used. I say buy the rod you like and concentrate on learning and understanding the theory and mechanics on what makes a good cast. Once you have your head around that Practice the Sh!t out of it. If you want to accelerate your learning get a lesson from a fff instructor.

Biggest problem I have is picking a rod, what should I be looking for I was looking at a clutch archipelago online that had good reviews ?

You can't really go wrong with any of the top end fly rods. I've never picked up or cast a clutch. I personally wouldn't pay that much for a brand that hasn't really established itself yet.
A few rods that are in that price bracket that are worth looking at:
Sage salt.
Sage method.
Sage one.
Gloomis nrx.
Scott meridian.
Scott radian.

Some discontinued rods are also worth looking at that can be picked up for cheap second hand and new are:
Sage xi3.
Sage tcx.
G loomis glx cross current.
Scott x4s.

All nice rods and are all worth a look, but at the End of the day they are only as good as the bloke hanging onto em.
Happy shopping.
