What Hull??

Hi All,
Been a while.
Looking to get back into a bit of Breamn' now my boys are a little older and wanting to head out with me.

What would be the way to go for this?

Max size is 4.00m
Vnose punt probably?? - will be mostly for Bream in the Murray/Swan/Canning but also for a bit of crabbing and then for taking down to some of our SouthWest waters.

My initial thoughts are along the lines of a Edgetracker 390 or an Explorer or even a Proline399. - Cost is a factor as i don't want to drop too much money at this stage until i know whether my boys get well and truly bitten or not. I have access to an Evinrude 15hp that will do me for a little while so I don't have that cost to worry about for now.

Any thoughts? Anyone selling something similar?

Where do you guys get your floor fitouts welded in the Perth area?

cheers

simmsy..

Hey Simmsy
Good to see you've got the bug again.
As far as the hulls you've mentioned go I don't think you can go wrong with either of them.
The Explorer would be the pick for myself and is what I was going to get a number of years ago. I like yourself was after the same sort of thing for breaming, squidding, crabs etc
I ended up with a used Bermuda 395 punt style tinny and put a brand new Yamaha 25hp on it which has been fantastic for all these pursuits plus many south trips and a trip to Exxy.
I'm currently searching for more of a crossover boat around the 4.2 mark. Something that will handle the slop a bit better and allow me to venture out a bit further but still be functional for the bream adventures I love so much.
As far as whether I sell now or a year down the track doesn't phase me but I just thought I would throw it out there.
Cheers Lyndon.

was gonna say a bermuda 395 but someone beat me to it, maybe a secondhand one and put the floor in yourself if the pennies are tight.

Another for the 399 proline. I have the angler but the basic proline is a great boat. I take my now 17 month old out to play on mag island beaches all the time and my 6 year old nephew fishing a lot. They are great stable boats that won't break the bank
