Nordic Stage Gunslinger

Anyone used these before, and if so do you like them?

haven't had the gunslinger, but I've got half a dozen F1's and Areal Pro's.
All the Nordic rods come from the RDL lab/Mitsubishi line.

Would have to say one of the strongest blanks available. Best I've caught was a black marlin around 30kg on my F1 12lb. I just saw yesterday Tim caught a 1.15m cobia on his Areal Pro 10lb stick.

Don't know about the Areal Gunslinger, but as for the brand you wont find a negative on it anywhere. Get onto Angus if you want to know anything about the rods. He brings the Nordic Stage into Aus and a great bloke to talk to. (facebook Nordic Stage)

Not sure if you have considered the areal pro but they are a pretty good price here.

A bit more than the gunslinger but I think they are a bit faster which you may or may not prefer.

Oh...and I bought my areal pro (used) off "sunnydays" on this site. He also had a 6' version for sale. Might be worth checking if it is still available if you were after one.
The one I bought was in great condition.

thanks was after the areal specifically because of the more parabolic bend, instead of the areal pro, which has a faster action with more of a bend at the tip. The areal is more suited for big fish on light gear, which is what I'm after.

solid snapper, looks like the areas can handle some solid fish for their rating!

sure can mate. Youtube Nordic stage for all the rod ranges on the load test machine. As long as you keep the bend in the rod on a rainbow shape at all times, theres not many fish you cant land (enough line permitting)

I would say if you know how to use the 10lb Areal you can get away with chasing tuna, snapper, etc on 4kg of drag. But in saying that you could still snap the rod rather easy at the split section on 2kg of drag.

the youtube vid's are great in noticing and applying the limits to each rod.
