Spider Crab Where Is ????

This Thread went missing in the BM Melt Down

Guys we are still working on a Soft Plastic Spider Crab

Gippsland and Other Regions are Screaming Out for a Soft Plastic Realistic Spider Crab

When I 1st Shifted from Bait to Lures all I wanted was a Soft Plastic Crab that looks like a Real Spider Crab.
This was my main way of fishing and my mates, was Live Spiders into Snags , Jettys, Bridges etc.

So all these years later its starting to come together.

Something we always talked about since day dot.

What do you think of this one so far ????

I thought we give you a Look as I can see some Changes taking place with other Brands.

We had this on the go for long time under wraps.

We had no idea that others where changing there ideas for the Market

Our will be a Soft Plastic Material similar to ZMan

We are also working on Special Jig Heads

Yes they will be injection moulded

The plastic is similar to Zman so it floats and a s tough, stretching etc

The Claws Size has been made so they Float Easy

We have some unique jig head designs we working on, also you can use your own of course.

Hoping to sell in packs of 4 for under $20

Body is around $2 coin the perfect spider crab size

We also looking at doing bigger version for snapper etc

It being 3D printed in England ATM

Is where happy then the injection mould will be commissioned

Cheers Nordy

We hoping to do 6 colours, with small amount of paint applied to certain areas

Bigger model will be around 20 cent piece body size

Cheers Nordy

We will be trying with the limitations of Soft Plastic Materials

I'm confident we can produce a Great Looking Crab that will Trick them.

Really think the bream are smart enough to tell the difference in leg profile between these ecogears and a newer thinner leg variation ?

The marukyu are tried and tested in east gippsland aswell, i will say a not very durable material but very effective lure.

I really havnt seen any Crab on the market so far in a soft plastic that grabs me 100%

I've fished and collected Live Crab for years and years infact collected and pumped or dug CRAB, SHELL , SANDWORM, SMIG, PRAWN etc prior to switching over to Lures. Infact my whole male family did, that's just what we did prior to going fishing was go collect Live Bait. Most Soft Plastic Crabs just don't look or sink right that I've seen to date IMO.

I hoping I can produce the Best looking Soft Plastic Crab that also sinks well. The legs on a Live Spider Crab act like a parachute when sinking, let's hope these will do the same.

Yes all the others will TRICK fish sometimes, I'm hoping I can make something better that TRICKs more. I'll try anyway we will see.

Working on a few Jig Head Ideas as well

If I can make these seem like I'm fishing a real Spider Crab again then mission is accomplished

We will see

Cheers Nordy

We always called small baitfish SMIG for some reason.

Most people Down our way my era know it as SMIG

We used to Trap them in Small Drag Nets, and those Clear Plastic things that they swim in but can't get out.

Then take then out to fish for Bream & Flathead etc,

We also used to Freeze Then Down same with the Prawns.

The work and time collecting was a lot, can't believe how keen we where, it so so much easier now with Lures.

No Collecting Just Fish

We also used very Small Garfish & Bull heads hard to get in those days as well, Bream love a bit of Gar & Bullheads at times.
