Certate 2004 vs 2004CH

Looking at picking up a certate and really like the look of the 2004CH. Just wondering if anyone can help me out on the 15grams weight difference between the two? Are the spools made from different material? Interested in your opinions between the two. thanks

2004CH uses 1000 size body with 2000 rotor and spool, hence the weight reduction, compared to normal 2004 which is real 2000 size.

Thanks mate, thats good info, i suspected as much. Are there any benefits in going for the standard 2004 other than retrieval rate is a bit lower?

depends on lures and fish size, I'm using 2004CH for minnows and jigs up to 6-7g max and absolutely love it in that respect.

Yeah, i'll be using it for fishing hardbodies for bream. Hopefully some of those bream will be a good size but i assume that it'd be fine with that. No real risk of big by-catch down here

Great little reel the CH I bought mine due to the retrieval rate being close to a 2500 series reel, easy to maintain the rythm if swapping between reels.
