Is there such a beast?

Hey peoples.

I'm looking to find a rod with similar specs (ie. around 2-14g.cast weight) as the
DAIWA Wicked/Wild WEASEL with a softer action for HB's. Ideally 2-4 or 5kg.
The reel used will be a Sustain fg 2500 with 8lb. Super PE.
I already have the Wicked Weasel & its a great plastic rod but a little to fast/stiff in the taper for HB's.

The Nitro Distance Spin looks ideal but is a little too long.
Am after something in the 6'6"-7'.

Budget is around 250-300, cheaper the better obviously.

Any help would be appreciated, have done a lot of reading.

check out the daiwa bream specialist range they should do the trick.

TNSB 702MLXFSOH

SVF blank might be more to your liking

There are also Daiwa zillion spin rods which you can import with slightly different configs but the same blank.

I have the TNSB 702ULFSOH matched with a Sustain 1000 fg.
Love it.

The Daiwa website says the TNSB 702MLXFSOH has an extra fast taper?
Is it as stiff as the Wicked Weasel?

Benwah, reckon SFS have this rod and a range of black labels you may like to consider.

have to put one in your hand to really know i dont trust manufacturers and their advertised fast xfast xxfast ratings at all. They is a huge disparity between different brand and different blanks.

Can't agree more with u
I bought a Megabass x7 power house without feeling it thinking it would be as nice as the deepthroat it's a broom stick ha ha great for extracting bream from the racks expensive racks rod just quietly

Look at samaki c-12 gen 2 3-8lb it's an all rounder soft enough so u don't pull hooks but crisp enough to throw plastics and is made on a 40 ton toray compesite blank
Mod fast action
Fuji kr guides from memory
Hope this helps

Ok cool.
Thanks everyone, will have to go in to SFS & have a look.
I'm pretty sure they carry the Samaki's aswell.
I'm a big fan of my other TNSB, so if that's not too stiff it could be a goer. Don't know of anyone that stocks the 13 range in Adelaide, have certainly checked out their arsenal on the website tho.

Am in no rush tho, gearing up for a trip to Gippsland before Xmas.

(CK & Nereus, I'm the bloke that you met down the Coorong on your first trip down there in the 449 Outlaw, I see you got onto a few in the Brag Board. Well done)

It was a pleasure to make your acquaintance mate. No doubt we will be back. I hope the new sounder will help us find more and of a better size too.

Anybody got one ?
What's the action like for HB's ?

See you fellas on the water soon.

I've had a look right through the Majorcaft website & was a bit overwhelmed.
Great rods by all reports.

I was hoping for something 7' or under.
