Kit of reels, what do you use?

I've noticed quite a few guys spend more on quantity not quality (an army of caldias instead of a few certates/steez/exist)
So for those guys who have a kit of reels, what do you use and why?

Penn slammers IMO.

Luvias are nice. I love mine, much lighter then tates but not sure about better looking.

Hey! I have a Penn Slammer 260 some where

For Bream so 1-2000 (for me)

Patriarch 9525 xt because its really light and looked awesome so I bought it when they first came out. I enjoy using it, I have never hooked into anything bigger than a 60cm dusky with it though.

Ultegra 1000 - Because I went into my local CA and turned every reel from certate, stella to aernos and it just felt the best. Pleasure to fish with too so far.

Abu garcia Revo SX20, dont ask and never again :-/

I've got 6 Certates in various sizes, plus one Stella FE 1000. I just like Certates. I like the way they feel and the way they look. The Stella isn't bad either.

I have a Caldia 11 2000 which is a great reel dont get me wrong.
There isnt much in it between shimano and Diawa ,Diawa has a much better marketing i think the new Stradic FK will be a game changer.
As for what is better bla bla as long as the reel is best for you and your pocket thats the main thing and its out there being flogged.
I have a mix of reels and these major companies inspire the others to innovate.

Daiwa, shimano, penn, abu.... We as a fishing community have fished them all and appreciate things differently. Back to the thread topic, do people buy 6 luvias perhaps instead of 3 certates so they have 6 different lure, sp etc setups ready to go in the boat.. perhaps?

Stradic's FJ's... Enough said thats why I have 3 of them - possibly going onto 5 soon.

Then I go about doing a few little things to them to personalise them to my needs.

Stradic Ci4 & Ci4+ would be there soon after however the minor weight saving or the very little there of is barely significant of the price increase. However the Ci4 material may have some corrosion benefit to someone but not me - did a weight comparison a while back and there was only 2 to 3 grams difference. And between a 1000FJ and a 1000F Ci4 there is no real difference in the hand between the two.

For what I see in the FJ, they have to be the best value for money reel on the market with a blend of durability, weight and longevity in mind. A good mix of worthy / honest technology and a slight / subtle hint of looks (not that I care for that in a reel)...

There are a lot of reels on the market and fortunately I have found the reel that best suits me for my intended purposes and these Stradic FJ's have ticked every possible box I am looking for in reels.. I do have others like one Sustain and have seen a multitude of other spinning reels pass through my hands of both parties however either ticked up with 'technology & looks' and with a inflated price tags but still nothing that pulls at my 'need to have' strings.

When I see whats in my reels and compare to others of the same family line there is very little that "really" changes between them, other than colour, bearing count and colour etc. A lot of the people that bag reels out really dont have a clue of whats in a reel, or have mistreated a reel and then go about shaming a reel rather than the user that dished out the hurt.

Now all reels are good, as good as their designers and builders make them. What the reel goes about doing in its life is another thing all together. Some reels have a 2kg drag and people go about upgrading those to 6kg's and go chasing rat kings, and when the gearbox wears out they blame the reel. When a reel comes with 7kg of drag and they upgrade that to 10kg of drag and go chasing fish sized appropriately to the reel and line size the reel lasts and the reels get praise. But there will be people always out there to stretch their limits and test their gear up until something happens.

I may buy a 2500 FE Stella or a Stradic MGFA one day when the options makes itself open??

Converting all my gear to Twinpower. But keep the few Sustains for light river and Thunnus/Talica for other duties.

Twinpower SW's, Twinpower 2500FA ci4, TP C2000 Mg.

Vanquish and Stella are a little too expensive when you want half a dozen reels and have to baby each one because they are half a weeks wages.

Stradic and Sustain, great reels but after having Twin Powers that come in at the same price or an extra 50-100 bucks the choice is easy.

JDM over anything US or AUS really.
