I wouldn't say it's 'useless filth' but I'd certainly be going the super PE is that size, it's very good value.

They are two different braids and not exactly comparable.

The power Pro is more of a fused braid (similar to Fireline) and Super PE is a woven braid.
And at 8lb rating for either the Power Pro would be much thicker than the 8lb Super PE.

I'd rather 3lb PowerPro than Fireline of the same breaking strength for bream.
Nothing wrong with PowerPro on its own.

Agreed, the Super PE in 8lb is far superior to PowerPro.
