Flats rod for poppers less than $200

Over the last few months I've got into fishing for whiting on the flats using poppers. Casting lures in the 3-5g range. I have been using my samurai 203(7') and lox yoshi(6'6") which have both been doing a great job. Of course I now want to be able to cast further than they both managed and planning ahead for later this year would like to pick up a new rod to help me out.

I'll be using either a stradic 1000FJ or a stradic CI4+1000 running 3lb fireline exceed.

I usually fish out of my yak but will mainly use this one standing up so a longer length will be fine.

I was looking at a budget of $200. Any suggestions?

If you can stretch a little bit (or haggle) then the tnsb for sale here, if it's not gone already:

I pickup up one recently and it blew my mind how much farther it casts and how easily it casts compared to my existing 1-3kg rod.

That surprises me because the recommended lure weight is 10-40g.
I had a brief look at these rods and was thinking that the 2-5kg would be more suitable (1-9g suggested lure weight)

10-40g? Where did you get that from?

You might be looking at the wrong rod. The tnsb is .8 - 7g cast weight.

Ahh haha yeah.

The tnsb are nice. They are a two piece which split below the stripper guide. You'll love it or hate that

I see more tnsb in my collection in the future. Reckin it would suit your application well
