Which MK for Poly Craft 4.1 ?

I just bought my first tub. It needs a electric bow mount and came with a MK quick release plate. Im guessing this only works for MK motors?

Which Minn Kota?

Im thinking 55lb, Riptide ST – i-Pilot 54". But im clueless!

Ive heard cable steers are more accurate?

Can anyone with a poly chime in?

It's only like $100 for a motor guide quick release and the xi5 is so much better than the ipilot. I reckon it's worth at least considering changing the quick release over for the sake of a much better bow mount. Or even look at a cheap minn kota cable steer - like the 70lb minn kota edge or similar.

Cable steer is probably better if you're happy to keep your foot on the pedal the whole time your on the water. I went electric steer to keep the pedal off the front deck but still miss the cable steer in the leases and around structure.

So the cable steer offers more control?
