Megabass Shoreluck SLL-78ULS

Hi guys, I really need your help on this one. I have been looking at the Megabass Shoreluck SLL-78ULS for flats fishing - whitings and breams and the occasional flattie. If I get it I will match it with a Sustain 1000 w 6lb braid. The reason I'm going for a longer rod is casting distance and 95% of the time I am fishing w hardbodies (3-4g) and the occasional popper/stickbait. Has any one use the above rod? My only concern is that it is rated very light, 1-3lb. Any input would be much appreciated

And feel free to recommend any other rods for the application I described above

Cheers
Bertrand

If your happy with sticking to flats then I wouldn't worry too much about the rating, sounds like you'll be fishing light anyway and not targetting anything massive.

That said have you considered a major craft sky road? I have the 7'9" mebaru model (pretty sure...) and it is an absolute pleasure to use for the light stuff. It is also pretty damn cheap.

Would definitely recommend

Do you have the solid or the hollow version.

I have the Majorcraft Truzer Mebaru 7'6" in the hollow tip and its also a great rod, handles big flatties well.

cant speak for the rod but dont worry to much about rod rating for your style of fishing and what you will target....

if you play the fish you target you will be fine..

and its a huge rush to get a bigger than expected fish on lighter gear and win...

stay cripsy

Got mine today, just had a quick flick around the back garden with a small atomic lure no hooks and rings weight around 3 grams.
Line was castaway 0.6 with a 6lb leader, cast no problem I don't think you will have any issues.

Rod has a nice feel not as stiff as the Daiwa Gekabin AGS but stiff good feel, can't wait to get hooked up on it.
