13 deal!

So as I'm sure most of you are aware 13 fishing has a deal out during march that i intend to use as an excuse to get a couple more rods, the first one I'm set on but the second one I'm stuck between the 71m and 71ml omen blacks. would be running 10lb through for my bigger sp setup has anyone used either of these?

Noticed this deal the other day seems like a cracker to me. What are these rods like? Why so cheap? Anyone got any feedback on these?

Need some advice on this deal.

currently using a 1-3 trion... does the job well and it suits a my fishing requirements but like many of us, who doesnt need/want more tackle in the armoury so

I fish plastics and HB's mostly..I would like to find one that suits both rather than finding one for each application

was looking at these two

OBSA610L Spin 2-8 fast
OBSA71L Spin 2-8 med-fast

also am looking for a nice baitcaster rod for bass etc... a curado 200E7 will be run on it if any others want to pass on there opinions

I Have the OBSA610L 2/8lb paired up with a 1000 Ci4 Stradic and seriously love it to bits. Light as a feather, comfortable in the hands with plenty of grunt down low and best of all its not a noodle. I use it for everything softs, hards and topwaters and cant fault it. This model as well as the ENVY (which I have also) in this length and model I believe was specially built for the Australian bream market and has a shorter butt section which makes it great for close to structure fishing and would be ideal for yaks
This is an awesome deal and there is a list of participating stores on their website Although I dare say every store that stocks 13 Fishing would have this special. I see they may not be a BM sponsor anymore ? so I will say Fishin.com.au is one of the stores doing this deal
13 fishing seems to have all bases covered from finesse to barra and snapper They also have a new model of rods out next month I think so this is probably part of the celebration

I've only ever had one rod over 7 ft. (Shimano Bream raider)I don't mind them but prefer rods 6 ft. or 6.6 for the type of fishing I do being predominately boat. With the 6.10 I probably don't notice the extra length due to the weight factor so in saying this a rod over 7 ft May be more suited to you. It mainly depends where and how you fish. I have used my 6.10 ENVY shore bashing for flatties around Perth and find it an ideal length for this also.
I see a couple of 2 pieces are now available as well.

Hey mate
Just got the heads up on this thread.

For 1/4 and under lures, go the 71ML
If you're using 1/4 and over go the 71M

Hey mate,

We figure the best form of advertising is fisherman like you using our gear. Rather than spend heaps of money on print advertising we thought we would spend our money offering this promotion.

Don't get me wrong there is a time and place for print ads. Just thought we would share the love a little and pass a good saving onto a few customers.

Thanks

Hey mate,

The OBSA610L i designed for soft plastic fishing for bream. Or more so any slack line presentation using a lure with a single hook. It's a bit faster than the OBSA71L so it lends itself better to single hook lures.

The OBSA71L is a bit longer and softer, i made this one for treble hook baits. Lures that need a bit more cushioning to prevent pulled hooks.

For the bass rod,
I'd go the OBCA610ML
it's a 6'10" 6-12lb rod which tends to be the most popular for Bass fishing.

Thanks
Tom Slater

What is the recommended retail price you are basing the offer on. Prices vary greatly between outlets.
