gday bream
alot of people on here use the okuma epix series of reels they have 10 BB and excellant drag and i am in the middle of finding one for and my dad. and some other reel to look at would be the "hardbodyz" range brought out by diawa.

thanks michael

On our market? Probably the Stella. On the Japanese market? Ooooh baby. Probably this:

Daiwa Silver Creek 2004C, 175g, 4.9 ratio, 12/1 bearings. Price? AUD$1130

Then again the Jap Stella's really nice as well!

Mike I guarantee you won't have any regrets about the Epix

As to the best..... Do they make a smaller Saltiga yet???

That is one sweet reel

I'll definitely be having a look on Friday night - just hope I don't have to mortgage the wife to buy one

Guys

Make sure that if u are buying those super high end reels

such as the Team daiwa - Z (spin and baitcast)
Think the silver creeks too
the Stella FW (Japanese model) (not U.S. version Stella FA)

These are made from an magnesium alloy
and magnesium and salt water aren't the best partners
overtime, even with extreme care
they will corrode

Hope that helps!?

Yeah I know - can't be used in brackish water... so in truth it's not the best bream reel! But I'd say the Japanese Stella would be the best... not the freshwater version tho...
