Melbourne bream hack!!!

Gday guys, been a bit of a lurker round here for quite sometime, decided to bite the bullet n signup!

Am a welder by trade mainly in structural as my fulltime job and build custom industrial furniture on the side. Lived in melbourne most my life and frequent alot of the rivers around ppb and wpb one of such rivers ive had considerable success landing 40+cm bream from consistently but unfortunately only on bait.

I love my soft platics fishing and have landed plenty of nice flatties around the east gippsland areas but to this day am yet to land a bream, have hooked up on quite a few stonkers thatve have managed to evade me right before landing.

Which brings me here, hoping to get some expert tips and advice from all you friendly forum folk.
