Big Blue lips goes crunch!
Hi everyone,
Just got back from a successful weekend surface breaming and caught some crackers! The young fella (12) managed his first on a surface too. After nailing some bruisers I lobbed a Bent 76 into a likely looking snag and was met with a very explosive smash...a short 2 second tussle showed a 35+ bream when...PING and he was gone! I wound up only to find the treble and split ring and all other metal had been ripped out the back of the lure It was a new lure that had caught 3 bream before that so it got me wondering if that had ever happened to anyone else? It was a new one for me.Herds |

Seen it, but certainly not ideal when throwing a $30~ lure.

Only time anything like this has happened to me has involved a lure that had previously been introduced to a bridge or tree but it sounds like this was never put in that position so I have NFI how this would have happened.

Thanks fella's...interesting that it doesn't seem to be too common...maybe a manufacturing glitch?...Like you said Tambo_Junkie not ideal when using such an expensive lure
