Minn kota shaft length

Hi all.

Ive been doing a bit of research on the riptides and ive noticed the two shaft lengths, 40s and 50s.

Ive just purchased a quinny Explorer 385 and im wondering if the smaller 48" shaft would be sufficient on the hull.

Ive found more places in WA have this size, and it's cheaper.

Thoughts?
