Tinny Fitout Ideas

Well, the 4.1 has arrived and it's time to fit it out. I've got a few ideas of what I want, but what else have you done to your tinny to make it a better all round boat?

Rod Storage and lighting i dislike rods on the floor. And a spot to slip in an esky or Engel to keep drinks and food cool.
I guess storage is key.

Here is what the old boy and I did to our tinny (quintrex dart 3.7m, Anthony sextons old tub) the esky idea was a goo idea because it doubles up as a live well. With most our fishing being a few night stays and esky in the boat is a good idea to keep food/drinks cool. With the 70l esky being there we could make the casting deck larger.
Another good thing is in the bottom floor we cut out a little compartment that fits crab nets in perfectly.

Hey bear, i got a dart that was a bare tub. Cut up marine ply and covered it with some decent marine carpet. I fixed it down with through bolts and nuts. Was tricky but i wasnt comfortable only using self tappers. Made up the cross beams using square profile alloy tube and angle. Hinges on the three compartments are alloy factory quintrex. Have tubs fitted inside the compartments. A couple of removable swivel seats, some rod holders and a few othet bits n pieces and shes done! Pretty basic but neat n functional.

Few pics for ya!

Now my Ranger is gone I'm looking to do the same for the dams here in the Hunter Valley plus the rivers and creeks. Cheers Gav.

Might as well share my picture's. Just finished some work on the boat I didn't do the work but got it done at a place called the boat pimpers. Extended the casting deck, moved the cranking battery and the kota battery at the front. Made the old live well a big live well, looks awesome but had heaps of trouble with water flow going out. The plano trays are a must for me now! they save you a lot of time and mess with opening all hatches and so on. Still need to do some more work on my boat but who ever owns a boat will say the same thing just doesn't seem to end hahaha. Hope this helps mate.

Nice, I've got a 435 Hornet as well, very stable boat indeed. Would love to get it set up like yours, looks the goods!

That's a pretty cool idea with the ore and first aid kit, keeps it neat.
