best rod under $200??

Hi,

What are peoples thoughts on the best rod under $200????

I want to get a rod I was think around the $150 mark. But I might go up a bit if the quality difference is worth it.

I have been looking at the Heartland IM6. Does anyone rate these rods??? It would be an upgrade from the poor old silstar power tip.

Thanks for any opinions.

eddystone

p.s i'll likely have to get it in from the big island (mainland aus) as I live in tassie so it will have to be posted over.

I'm an advocate of the Shimano range of rods. They look above their price tag. Can't say the same for other rods unfortunately. I love my Loomis but they're above the range you're looking at. In that price range I like the look of the Stella or Squidgy. I have a Heartland IM6 but I find that a little stiff for SPs. I use for my other forms of fishing tho' but not for lure breaming.

Didn't someone ask the same question about 2 weeks ago?

I think the general consensus was the Struddie SicStik.

I haven't tried the SicStick, I stick to Millerods, but I know a couple of Strudwick reps who love them...

This price bracket is not really my field.
