Looks like its stated its fresh water only. How'd you think it would go in our conditions? Thats the main reason I went for the luvias. Looks the part though.

I look at the questions about imported reels and rods and I have to wonder... what's wrong with ones you can get locally?

You may have just opened this can of worms yet again...

Personally if I can get a reel that's superior to my Stellas for a fraction of the price then I'll buy several of them in a heartbeat.

Chunqx - it's relevant because the reels that appear in Japan take two years to appear in Australia; thus we often know a lot about the reels before they hit our shores (in some form or another).

And I'm trying to find out about this one.

So... back on topic. No one be provoked to argue please. I don't want this thread locked.

Just to get back on track, it looks like a nice little reel especially the weight.

Not trying to provoke an argument here. Just seems like "the grass is greener..." to me. But hey, what do I know. I'm content with Stradics as the most I'd pay for a reel....

Hi guys,

I looked this reel up. Is it just me or does it only come in one size???

One thing is for sure it looks nice!!!

Retaisl for somewhere around $350 USD. So if it comes to Aus i would doubt you would get it for less than $600 probably a lot more.

I don't see any point arguing about this reel. All Chris wanted (at least the way i see it) was some info. If you have something relevant to say say it. Otherwise just got to the next thread.

I reckon it would be a top reel. It doesn't hold a reel lot of line but. Not that thats a massive problem with bream.

Talking

Sorry Chris... you're also useful in saltwater.....

What I meant to say is that Robert is correct the reel is for fresh water only. I was interested in the reel a while back and ask a friend of mine in Japan to ask Daiwa in the Tokyo Fishing Expo and the answer is that they are only for fresh water.... the coating is too thin for saltwater...

Andrew, if you want those cork grips... I think you need to upgrade to the Airity.... Price (after coversion) is around AU$400 - $450.00 mark. Very nice trout reel though... I had thought about getting one... but got too many already......
