Certate 2510R-PE or 2510H-PE Questions.

G'day guys, so picking up a new certate next thursday, was set on the 2510R-PE, but looking at the retrieve ratio and comparing it to my style (ripping big plastics and needing to take up slack) I think the high speed model will be better. However. The shop i'm getting it off stocks both, for aussie pricing, am i right in thinking the Hi-Gear will not have an aussie warranty even if sold in australia as it's a jap model? If so...am i better off getting it off plat or something. And how valuable is that warranty going to be.

Thanks guys

I run a 2510R-PE for my medium duty plastics, snapper & mulloway, etc.
Can't fault it, beautiful reel and personally i feel the retrieve ratio is fast enough for this kind of fishing, which does sometimes include fast ripping plastics... Aussie warranty is always nice, but in saying that i have never had an issue with high end daiwa, and do have several reels from OS.

So i think it purely comes down to retrieve ratio and personal preference.

if its sold in australia by a legitimate retailer youll be right mate. If it is faulty or you have problems it doesnt matter what model it is, consumer laws will protect you there.

I would go the hi gear

The 2510R-pe has a 3000 size body and 2500 size rotor and spool. The 2510PE-H is a 2500 size reel.

Damn. Had hoped the 2510 bit meant 3000 size body. Hm. Guess I'll have to see what they feel like side by side. Only 5g difference...and no other differences in drag or capacity. Choices choices.

Thanks for your input guys. My first Daiwa and it's a lot more complicated than my shimanos!
