Fell in love with the thing! The guys on the stand at Good Times Marine were great blokes. Perfect crossover boat... Ever since I parted ways with the skeeter I've been looking at something I can chase inshore Marlin, soak livies in big estuaries or Jewfish then go do my Bream comps. Anglapro are awesome to deal with too, I sent them a message on Facebook and got a reply and had my inquiry sorted the same day.

Will organize a test ride in the next few months, mod it to my specs and order early December.

G'day I'm looking at the Anglapro sniper. I've been looking for a while at a few different boats in similar style like the quintrex renegade and stacer outlaw but spied the sniper. I've heard good things about the build quality of the anglapro.

How are your boats going? Would be great to hear your thoughts

Not a sniper.... But I have a chaser 424 and am very happy with it.
Very functional and great build quality.

Mitch1600,

Any feed back on the 444 yet? I'm in the market this year and would love to hear some feedback.

the sniper is brilliant, I've been in several boats in the size range and im probably most impressed with its stability at rest compared with others. The 60 hp is fine for two on board. Im wrapped with the build quality of the hull, especially the look. The only real flaws i see with mine is I optioned it with a rod locker, but its pretty much useless, too small, i just use it for storage at the moment.
I've been 30 km offshore in it and had it up in rivers its own width wide, im loving the diversity of it. Also pumped with the motorguide xi5, such a good lecky! if theres anything specific you want to know, just ask, and sorry about the late reply mate.

heres a few pics, the other point that i like when comparing to other boats was the good looking side console, and high quality seats, steering wheel, anchorwell ect that all come as standard

Looks like a great boat! How does it go in the slop?

I'd really love something closer to 5m but the build on those look and sound good. The only issue for me is there are no dealers in WA and hence no one bringing them to the boat shows...I'm not keen to part with the cash without a water test.

If you don't mind me asking and you can PM me if you like but what did you pay?

Andrew

I'm happy with the hull in the slop Herds, at the end of the day its still just a 4.5 mtr boat, i think they all handle similar enough, the anglapro's just feel very solid. And I did feel comfortable enough to head to the shelf in it!
With options like what i have, your looking around the 25-30k mark,
The dealerships for them are an issue, there isn't even one in Melbourne, I bought mine from a dealer in sydney who was at the boat show, then waited for it to get built... (and waited... and waited...) then drove up their to pick it up. While i wont give the dealer a good wrap, the boats terrific.
They have just built some of these in a 4.9 model, but with is comes bigger motor, trailer ect and of course more buck$ ! good thing about my ones size is that still fits in a standard garage...

Fair enough. Did you look at any bluefin boats as a comparison? How long did it take to build?

I did notice the bigger model but it doesn't look like you get that much more space...especially up the back end.

Hi all, I am also looking at the Sniper 444 and the Quintrex F450 Hornet. I have seen the Hornet up close but have not taken it for a test on the water yet, but I have to travel around 3 hours to get to a dealer in Vic to see and test the Sniper.

I am looking at around the 4.5 Meter length up to a max of around 4.8 and need to be careful of the overall width on the trailer so I can get through my rear garage door (2250mm).

I fish in mainly lakes and rivers (Eildon, Murray, Goulburn) trolling and flicking luers and bait at times!

The Hornet is a more expensive boat when optioned up to around the same as the Sniper, but it does include an alloy trailer as part of the package with a larger 70 Yamaha 4 stroke motor.

Has anyone looked to compare these 2 boats for my style of fishing?

Thanks for any constructive thoughts or recommendations to help me make a decision that I will live with for a long time!!!!!

I picked up my Sniper 444 at the weekend. I looked at a lot of boats and finally decided on the Sniper due to layout and build quality in comparison to some of the more common brands. Just compare the hull ribbing and you'll get the idea what I mean.

First run out and I'm stoked with it. Its layout is perfect for the types of fishing I do - fly fishing with a couple of mates or bait/lure fishing with my young son. I wanted something that was versatile enough to fish lakes and rivers whilst having enough vee in hull and freeboard to be comfortable in the bays if a bit of chop gets up.

I bought mine from Richardson Marine in Warrnambool, they were great to deal with so the 3hr drive from Melbourne was no issue.

Will post some more updates on how it goes as I use it more.
