I got 1 small bite all day ,we travelled up to East Perth spent a while there,,then hit the Canning then travelled back to finish off at Riverside drive, very low tides (got bogged on some Canning flats),bright sunny day did not help much but happy with 15th spot seeing we caught no fish

With my partner Tim in the kayak Grand final in a couple weeks it was a successful outing tho looking at the bigger picture,he now knows where not to fish

Well done to James and David ,sales of the Quick boats should increase after the win (they fold out in 60 seconds and hit 20 knots with a 9.9hp on the back i was told)

Well done to Craig and all the sponsors this year, unless we are lucky enough to get one of those random Wild card entrys we see everybody in 2015, good luck to everybody in the Grand final .

Congrats to the top teams definitely deserve all the glory on a day like that.

Was a struggle and we where lucky to pull a couple fish from inside a bank in east perth after travelling right up to guildford.

Thanks everyone for the welcome backs! It was great to be back down fishing with everyone and catching up, after James and I have taken 5 or so years off. Great to see the ethos hasn't changed with everyone being so welcoming and encouraging.

Special thanks goes out to Craig. For you not to be fishing yourself and still running these events is just unbelievable. The fishing community here owes you immeasurably.

Now just quickly, those Quickboats are epic. I'd not been in one before yesterday, let alone fished in one. If you are into getting away and fishing with ease, these are THE thing to get your hands on. It's the ultimate gap between the convenience of a kayak and the fishing platform of a dedicated fishing boat. I guarantee I will own one myself in the future.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the kind comments and well done to Alex & Luke on their AOY win.

As Dave says it's been 4-5 years since being on the tournament scene and it's so great to get back amongst fellow anglers and even catch a few fish!

I must cheekily add that it was also a thrill to show my buddy Dave that Quickboats are not a flimsy toy, but infact a truly capable craft for even the most serious tournament occasion.

Look forward to sharing more on Dave and my adventures in these folding boats along the way.

Cheers,
James

R2S Baby Vibes were killing it. Dave got a good fish on one of the new Ecogear Crabs that Simon Waters said is the latest thing to try.

Maria Crabs got some attention as well - keeping it old school!

Looks like a very tuff gig judging by number of fish caught.

Well done to all fished those conditions.

What a tough day, to catch one fish and finish in the top ten still has me figuring out what happened. Congrats to David and James on the win on what was a very tough day. Again a huge thanks to Craig for organising another successful year of comps and having some good sponsors on board, looks like we had some good numbers this year and hopefully it continues to grow. Happy that we made the cut for the grand Final and look forward to battling it out.

Thanks heaps to my sponsors Flow-Rite and Searing Tackle(Potoon21/Damiki/Fish Arrow) glad we made the Grand Final.

Cheers
Tim
