DAIWA BATTLER AGS- GEKKA AGS Comparison

I have been searching the forum in regards to the Daiwa AGS rods, the battler AGS series and the Gekka AGS series.

At present I have the Gekka AGS in the 6'10", this rod I love.

I am looking for something a little longer to cover more ground, the two rods that I am looking at are the Battler Kung Fu Prancer and the Gekka in the 7'3".
From looking on here it was mentioned that the Battler rods had more guides in comparison to the Gekka 6'10" over the same length blank.

Are the guides the same sizes in the Gekka range and the Battler range, as I know the Gekka AGS guides are bigger in inside diameter than the Gekka MX running sic guides.

I know there were a few that had Battlers and Gekka's in AGS when they were released, how are they going almost 12 months down the track.

Im also looking to get a few new AGS rods. At the moment i have the battler mighty midget and the Beowulf. I love them both but I'm thinking about adding the 6'10 gekka to the collation as well.

I'm actually in the same situation, I own a megabass racing condition 6'10, and want to get a longer rod to cast unweighted plastic. 6'10 and the gekka 7'2 are quite similar, you are only getting extra 4inch in length . so probably a kungfu prancer 7'6 will do a better job in flats if you look for distance?
I also read and article from lureandfly and they're saying the gekka has a pretty long butt.
I'm also checking the new TD commander AGS, seems pretty good rod as well.

I looked at the new TD commander AGS on the Diawa site, noticed the rods are 1&1/2 pieces.

Wondered what the break down on the lengths are.
The Gekka 6'10" is a great little rod Ozfactory.

Anyone know anything about the Gekka AGS 710ML-T with the tubular tip, may be a little on the long side though.

Kind of want it for a general all rounder. Does it handle top water lure ok? Walk the dog style?

1 1/2 means the joint is close to the grip

Both fantastic rods series. For rods with near specs, the Battler will have more "power", the X45 construction will result in a stiffer blank. Gekka rods are particularly suited to hard bods, Battlers of the same spec will as I said be more powerful and pull that little bit harder.

^^^^ gekka for hards ? The 6"10 model ? Interesting different strokes for different blokes I guess

Bamm, I use the faster rods for any small hards that require a bit more angler i put. Small jerk baits or twitch baits. Even recommended on Daiwa site.
