Braid for Shimano Aldebaran MG
Hi guys; just bought one of these and want to know what line you recommend to fill it? I have some 10lb Sunline PE but am unsure if it is suitable for a bait caster?
I understand braid for a bait caster should be a harder type of line? I am chasing bass with the likelihood of Eastern Cod next season. Rod is a Nitro Crankbait 2 piece. |

10 lb Sunline Super PE which is rated as PE1, might be a bit too thin? An economical option is Duel Super Smooth. I think it is a fantastic light line for baitcasting reels. It is a fused monofilament PE line (i.e. not braided). Round, very smooth, casts well and cheap ($15 for a 150 m spool from Japan). Hardness is similar to that of the Fireline. PE2 might be the size you would like to get. Trust me, this PE2 is quite thin. |

I use toray power jigging on my baitcasters. I've got it in 1.5 pe. And pe2. Which is 18 lb and 25 lb. Very nice line and easy to manage. Easy to Pick bird nests out if they happen without damaging the line too much
