Sik Stick pro

Has anyone had a look at the Sik Stick Pro yet, if so how does it compare to the ordinary Sik Stick. I've finally got my friend to see the light and agree that his silstar powertip is not the ideal tool for bream spinning. Thinking the Sik Stick Pro might fit his needs.

well i just upgraded my $40 rex hunt combo to a one piece 7' sik stick pro and okuma avenger 20 (+ 4lb fireline of course ) so will be trying it out this weekend.

Let you know the results, but its feels a bit stiffer than other rods i looked at.

The sic stick pro's have better guides, a higher modulus graphite and a quicker action.

That's a good price. I've seen the RRP advertised by Strudwick in mags as $200-230. I seen them in shops at $230, mind you this is a Sydney CBD tacklo.

They feel pretty good to me. Thinking of getting one as a backup rod.

hi guys,
asking for opinions on how the sik stik pro compare with rods like daiwa IM6 , procaster, shimano stella, etc. I'm planning to leave my IM6 for the sik stik pro but have not got a chance to try one. It will be used 90% for soft plastic and maybe 10% for chucking halco 35s... Any comments will be appreciated. Cheers.

Yogi

Yogi,
personally the sik stick pro felt superior to a Heartland IM6 and Procaster IM7 in the shop. They feel very crisp and responsive but you are paying a bit more. Please bear in mind I have not used the pro or Daiwa IM6 on the water. I do own a stella though and I think it's pretty safe to say the pro's performance is in a different class.

They seem a nice rod,
I picked up an American fishing mag the other day, in the "new products" section it had these "down under " rods with good reviews.
