BC Reel And Rod Outfit!!!

Hi all,

I'm after a decent BC reel and rod! Just to make it clear I have never owned or used a BC outfit ever!!!
Love to get an outfit and will be mainly using it for bream Fishing around structure and casting light lures around... Don't mind spending $450 to $600 on an outfit.

Don't mind Shimano, Daiwa or Abu...
Love to hear what you guys/girls recommend for me. Thanks all in advanced.

I'd recommend a spin reel

Waste of time and money buying a bc outfit then learning how to throw normal heavier lures accurately then spending even more and more time learning how to throw light bream lures accurately and far enough not to spook fish

Daiwa Alphas type R with Spool bearing upgrade + any light BC rod rated 1-3 or 2-4kg, maybe a Majorcraft Volkey or similar.

Thanks Nagz but I'm up for the challenge. Lost count of how many spin outfits I own need something a bit more challenging now.

Check out the new daiwa T3 Sol looks nice, had a look at it in a shop the other day and was thinking a Tatula type R, but not now, the Sol looks great too.

Wish I owned one
I'm leaning more to a tatula I don't need ultra light....
The t3 sv would be the goods for ya with a bit left for a rod
The t3 air looks crazy! But only holds 50m of 8lb might be a cool little 6lb flouro reel haha.
This is cool,,

A majorcraft volkey bfs would suit as a rod and then possibly an alphas type r for the reel

Listen to Nagz, the number of people that buy BC gear to cast light stuff with no experience and give up because it's not that easy is huge. If you want a casting setup, buy something for casting around 3/8 ounce up and spend a season or 2 mastering the basics, maybe then try getting into BFS. If you want to cast bream lures just stick to spin, even the best BFS gear won't come close to spin gear from bream fishing and when the wind comes up you will just pull your hair out trying to cast 3G lures.

BFS is a great way to fish.If you haven't fished with a BC before try it.If your in Brisbane we can meet up and you can have a crack at my gear.
Wind can effect fishing alot of the time.Ive fished in wind with no issues. If you set up your gear properly you should be fine.
I try and cast lower to the water.

I no what you mean but even if the wind picks up I'll always have a back up spinning set up with me. Like I said I don't mind the challenge.
