Weight of Luvius 2506H spool
Hey guys,
Thinking of getting a luvius 2506H and using it for light stuff, and then putting a 2506 RCS spool (the one that comes in blue/red) for heavier stuff (7kg drag) so therefore kinda using it as 2 reels is one. Question is i have no idea how much the reel will way with the attached RCS spool. I no the RCS spool weighs 42 grams buy itself, so if i subtract the luvius spool from the overall weight and add the 42 gram i should end up with the overall weight? Anyway if anyone knows how much the luvias spool ways buy itself that would be great. Thanks Last edited by tw9635; 05-05-2014 at 07:46 AM. |

You'd be looking at like 10-15g difference overall I think, wont really affect a thing but I think a 2506 air spool (which is what the luvi has) weighs about 32g from memory.

Just looked on plat the new 2014 RCS 2506 air spools are 33g and they have quite a bit of porting a old RCS 2500 spool which doesn't have much porting like the luvi spool was 40g so your probably looking at less than 5g difference between the luvi 2506 spool and the older red 2506 RCS spool your thinking of getting.
edit didn't see bamm's post there you go |
