Finally getting "serious"
Well I figure since this forum has been providing me with plenty of info I should stop being a lurking jerk and introduce myself a bit.
I grew up fishing west of the great divide with lures and bait as a trout fiend.
Holidays made me a prawn drowning kid, sticking his nose into every other fishos bucket and telling them their fish were undersized and my Dad was a fishing inspector. Port Macquarie break wall almost seen my demise for this behaviour many times.
I joined the ranks of ugly sticks and baitrunners as I got older, with the odd bit of SP and HB flinging with average results. Much time is spent bottom bashing off Forster with my Dad who is rocking along in his retirement, so the baitrunners still deserve their rack space.
Since living on the central coast for the last decade + and getting into yak fishing I have started to turn towards the more mid range gear, CI4+ reels, my
little score at the garage sale with the 50th anniversary zillion etc. Im still using the starlo squidgy rods I picked up about 5-6 years ago but looking to splurge on something along the lines of some t curves maybe in the near future.
Well that's about me in a fishing sense, I look forward to stealing more pointers and just maybe being fast enough to score one of the deals that keeps popping up on here.
