Hi Flytime, I might be bias but you will get more than enough info from this site, over 1000 heads are better that 2 or 3 and there is an online store here.

Hi,

You'll learn heaps from the forums on this site and probably a lot more encouragement too knowing that you're not the only one to not catch fish more times than not when lure fishing for these wily things...

BreamMaster has pretty much all softies you`d be after, and better still you can get them without wasting fuel. I think any orders over $20 free postage to your door, and over $50 express post to your door. Any queries though mate Id PM BreamSeeker, hes a pretty helpful dude and has certainly helped me take a load out of my wallet.

cheers

Flytime,

What part of BrisVagas are you from,

I'm south of the river, and usually start from the Jacobs Well area throughout the Jumpinpin and Logan River.

As for fishing web sites, now you've found the best, I don't look at anything else. I find all the info i need to find here.

Cheers

Squizza

Hi Steve

This site is a fantastic source of info, but if you would like to chat to someone face to face about the local lure fishing scene, drop in sometime. We have an excellent range of plastics, hardbodies and fly gear for bream. We're not the biggest; quite the opposite actually, but we offer great service and quality gear for the sport fisher.

The 2 Soft plastics that rise up above the rest and are always mensioned in the 10 top are size Atomic Fat grubs 2 and Sliders 1.5
Main coloures that are also mensioned heaps.
Atomics:
Amber
Motor Oil
Avacado Gold
Gold Glitter
The first 2 more often then the last 2

Sliders:
Pumkin shrimp (also known as Pumkinseed)
Muscadine
camoflouge

jigheads normaly 1.5g

I dunno if your a total begginer or not but ill put it down any way
Fireline 4lb is a must
4lb-8lb leader depending where your fishing like pylons or just flats ect. I stick to 6lb

Also type in the search bar above where all the names of the people logged in.
Type in something like best soft plastics or best hardbodies and theres a few threads on the top ten lures ect ect
Hope this helps.............

No problem

Getting the right stuff isnt the hard part mate, the hard part is getting the bream to take your lure (i have only managed 2 bream so far which was in the last 2 trips i whent so hopefully its smooth sailing from here on) Bream are defenetly not the easiest fish to temp on lures and i have gotten 100s of Redfin and a fare few other species but bream have proven to be more difecult but a heap more rewarding!
If you got any more questions like how to fish the lures once your set up and or what type of rod and reel, just put up another thread and someone will reply thats in the know............

This site I admit is brilliant and there's none next to this site that compares.

Atomics- Brown crawdad, Amber, Motor Oil Gold
hard Bodies- Attack Minnows are classy. Down Under in black beetle is brilliant, esp for flathead.

Squidgies, esp bloodworm 65mm

But, if there is a tackleshop that is really good, it's the tacklewarehouse on Old Cleveland Rd. Brisbane.

Mossops in Wooloongabba is also good in range of SP's and HB's.
