What lies beneath

Hi; does anyone know why lure manufacturers paint a surface lure with a great colour on top then leave the bottom nondescript or plain? I say this because I am frustrated with buying Megabass Sigletts which have a contrasting colour scheme when all I want is the same colour as the top. Does anyone know of any black or near black bottomed siglett models apart from the Cricket one? Can be the Grand Siglett or smaller model, doesn't matter..
