Assit Hooks on Cicada Lures

Just started using cicada lures to go bream fishing. Been having trouble getting them hooked and have had plenty of boils around the lure. So was thinking of adding zx assit hooks to it, especially as they have worked so well with my other surface lures. Anyone done this and found it helpful??

Didn't like it myself mate. Found that it looks unnatural and it impacted the number of strikes I was getting.
