How Long Should It Take To Build A Casting Deck?

Hi guys, long time since I have made a thread on the site main reason being I haven't done much fishing at all! The casting deck seems to be taking forever... 8 months +
Anyway I want to show you guys our progress so far my Dad and I have changed our mind so much with this deck trying to make sure it will pass comp regulations with the tank and making sure we'll have enough power, etc.. But I think we have it right!
So our first choice was the size of the tank and where we would place it. Dad had decided on having a big tank, 90ltr I think and it wasn't going to fit in the seat so out come the seat, the result of that was this

Now we had a blank canvas to start out designing. We wanted the tank to sit in the middle a little forward of the seat to balance the boat out when full so two people could sit at the back. So first was to get the tank built. Our friends at OzCraft did that for us, that was the first of a few things we would get them to do. We now had the tank and it was ready to start building around it! Here are some pictures

With the idea of the bracing for the tank coming together it was time to get the top of the deck into shape and sort out where we wanted hatches for storage and plumbing

It was finally starting to come together! We had made up the platform spot for our bum seat which Dad wanted and was bracing everything up, we were really over engineering it but you can never be to safe can you. We didn't want it to break on us one day. Anyway those photos were about 4 - 5 months of work Dad being caught up with work all the time and me being a busy 16 year old the only time we really had was on the weekends, mainly Sunday but we just been so busy. Anyway we finally got in and did some more over a week in the holidays, just bracing it up more, making the floor and sending it up to OzCraft to have it all professionally welded up and it checked out. It was actually starting to come together now here are the photos

How bigs the boat? Looks epic, can't wait to see the end product. Doing it yourself is so much more rewarding then buying ready to go IMO.

It's a Quintrex Eplorer 385 so not anything too big, I reckon it is too and you can customize it to what you want as well just wish we had more time to get it finished! I'm keen to see the end product myself! haha I have a few more pics to put up yet

Good to see backyard ingenuity is still 'alive and well'!
