Finding the bigger fish?

The answer to this may be a closely guarded secret but is finding the bigger bream simply a numbers game? I'm aware that bream are incredibly slow growers and obviously there is going to be a bell curve somewhat to how many of the stonkers are out there but is there a way of targeting those bigger fish? As I type this I feel this is an incredibly stupid question... but I'll have to just live with being a little dull.

My apologies - I didn't really think that location had a whole lot to do with it.

I'm Sydney based.

It seems if you can access remote areas, thats where the bigger Bream seem to be. In more urban areas, the larger Bream seem to come and play end of spawn period, then its trying to get past the smaller to medium ones. Larger ones seem smart enough to sit back and then feed off scraps, larger fish etc.

But if you have a look at the Brag board, the huge ones are in more remote hard to get areas, or in areas further out from the shore, in reef and structure out in the bay etc. Just my personal observation.

A decent spot helps but the more you are out the better chance of landing the big girl. Took me ages to get a legal.
Only because I'm restricted to metro areas and of course a more remote area would produce a larger size of the fish.
