3000 sized reel

Hey guys, after a 3000 sized reel, either shimano or daiwa to match to my Tierra rod, 3-6kg. I have $120 in B.C.F vouchers and willing to throw in another $150-$200 so about $300ish all up.
I have no Idea what reel to get that can put up with offshore and estuary fish...
Cheers.

Shimano Stradic Ci4 4000 about $300
Daiwa Sol Type II 3000H about $280

or just a Stradic FJ4000 $220 ish

Shimano tend to be more robust for boat rash etc IMHO, I'd just go the FJ for an allrounder. Save and spend some money on good braid, hooks and jigs...

Caldia
Sol
Stradic
Sustain

Plenty pic a brand

Go a 3000 12lb -15l braid sunline cast away

But ull be chasing bigger stuff can handle snapper

Personally the biggest I go in an estury is 2500 real and I have caught 6kg snapper on 8lb braid and 6lb leader so depends if u work the fish or like skull dragging

And a 2500 is more versitile

I have a sustain 3000fg that goes alright

Loaded up with 20lb thin something something braid, sufix 832 i think, cant remember

The 3000 is just a 2500 with more line capacity, so plenty fine in an estuary, and if you get onto something that wants a run, you have a bit extra to get on top with

Or, you could put all your cash on black and get a stella fe on sale

2nd that. In shimano, 2500/3000 stradic spools are interchangable, only the handle knob and line capacity is different.

Also, Shimano and Daiwa are different sizings with Daiwa being much bigger. Hence suggesting 4000 Shimano and 3000 Daiwa.

Here's what I know about modern Stradics (FI to FJ)

1000
2500 / 3000 interchangeable spools (knob and spool capacity different)
4000
5000
6000 / 8000 interchangeable spools (knob same, spool capacity different)

correct me if I am wrong.
