Flats rod under $200

Looking for a new flats rod after having a few good sessions fishing live nippers for whiting. I fish these same flats with plastics, hardbodies and recently poppers.
Was using a shimano lure project shad 1-3kg 7ft which id originally bought as a hardbodies rod. Great rod, but its the biggest noodle ive ever laid my hands one. Its great for fishing 3lb straight through flouro. Want something a little more versatile that i could throw plastics with when i run out of bait. Also something with a little more balls just in case i get a big flatty as bycatch.

Ive got a few 6'6 and 7' rods so id be looking for something at least 7'6 and 1-3kg.
Had a geez at the lox 7'6 1-3kg. Looks sweet, just a bit over what im looking to spend.
Reel will most probsbly be a 2500 ci4. I have 1000 ci4's also.

What do you reckon?

I got a raider series rod that is 1-3kg and 7ft 6. Great flats rod and you can get them around $139.

I think the Pflueger Patriarch 6'10 1-3kg is the best all rounder you can get for sub $200. They're such a nice rod to use and are great for plastics and hardbodies.

But the Daiwa Generation black's are also great rods for around $140, the Drunknmonkey or Itchy Twitchy would suit your situation.

It's a matter of going into the tackle shop to have a play and see which one you like best mate, every body is different.

Feel them for yourself and then decide which one you like best. Everyone has different preferences

Just a little over but a Daiwa Black Label Versatile 7'6" is another good option. Good luck with your choice. Regards, HBt.

There's a 7'6"" Plflueger Patriarch that should be around that money. Interesting flats rod.

Daiwa TDX 762ULFS is what I use. K guides, 2 pce at the butt and casts very light lures well. Matches well with Daiwa 2506 reels. I use an emeraldas. Worth taking a look at.
