2500 reel to match Daiwa steez flex-lite

hi, im after your opinions on which reel to match up to my 6'6'', 4-10lb steez which weighs approx 85 grams. i currently have a shimano sustain 1000fg on it and it balances out well weighing approx 185g but i would like to upgrade and up size to 2000/2500 sized reel. i am looking at a 2010 or 2013 certate 2500, luvias 2506 or a '11 twinpower c2000s. could someone please explain the difference between the c2000s and the 2000s, and why is there 45g difference? the luvias and the twinpower seems to be the better option as they are the lightest but i REALLY like the 2013 certate. which reel would you choose and why? thanks in advance.

in short the C2000 is a 1000 body with a 2000 spool/rotor

The 1000 and c2000/2000HGS share the same body size but different rotor size hence the weight difference isnt much between them. The 2000s has the body of a 2500 but a smaller spool but same rotor

there is a difference of 40-45gr between the 1000 and 2500 body size. The rotor is about 10gr difference. Notice the c2000 and the 2000s holds the same line meaning they have the same rotor and spool capacity.

if i were you, i'd get the 2010 certate over the 2013 looks a classier reel. mechanically they are both virtually identical.

The certate 2000 weighs in at 220g, 35grams more than your sustain 1000fg so it may not balance your rod. You can add a counter weight to the rod butt if you have your eyes on the tate.
But the Luvias 2506 and twinpower c2000 being 200gram-ish may "just" balance on your rod since only being 15gr heavier than your sustain.

Fle-X-Lite rod weight

Hi can you confirm the 6'6 Fle-X-Lite rod weights only 85g? I have a 7' Fle-X-Lite medium and it weights 115g. Feels a bit heavy for me so I am thinking switch to the 6'6 one. From other sources people said these two rods are of about the same weight...

Thanks!

hi there, ive weighed it on the scales but i am not sure how accurate it is as it is just a cheap analogue scale. it shows that it weighs in at just under 90g (approx 88 grams) which is still heaps light considering it is a 10lb rod. the 7" model is also a line class heavier which would contribute to the wight, not just the length. probably would weigh that my steez amraam is only 98 and I think steez tornado's are less than 100g and they're similar rods to the flex lite same graphite but only rated to 6lb but 7" long
