Daiwa Tatula TypeR

Just wondering if anyone has tried one ? They haven't landed at my local shop as yet and I'm keen to know what they feel like, or better still cast like?

Cheers
Shane

I haven't seen them officially released yet but the tatula is meant to be $200 and the tatula type r $250. That's info from a while back so it may have changed since then.

Tatula is $200 at my local and I have been told the type r will be $250 from staff. Had a play with the tatula and for the price they feel awesome. Extremely airy and smooth but still feel rock solid only thing that I noticed was they were a little heavy, which is why I'm waiting for the type r, hopefully it's lighter.

They have an aluminum body so they will be a tad heavy the normal is 225g which is still a light reel the type R is 215g you won't notice 10g difference

Shame Daiwa Au mainly bring in the right-hand wind versions.
Does the Type R come in the slower retrieve ratio, or just the standard Tatula?

that's dumb how Daiwa do that. i get that there are probably fewer left-hand winding people around but at least bring in one LH reel to each 3-5 RH reels.
