Pack and Send or Startrack?

Just after a bit of advice on the best option for sending a one piece rod from Melbourne to WA.
The local guys here in Albany contract through Startrack in Melbourne and their price is much better - but the pick up in Melbourne is more complicated and will take longer to sort out.
Pack and Send in Melbourne are more accessable and convienient at the senders end but are about 35% dearer for the same service.
Any first hand experiences (particularly positive ones) with either would be appreciated.

Many thanks - Paul

I have used StarTrack in small parcel sizes. No complaints. It's quick (from the East coast to SA) and has all the tracking details on their website. Not sure how'd they handle a 1pc rod though.

Have used pack and send quite a few times now and pretty happy with their service, we have a drop off point around the corner from home so it make things cheaper as well. If you have the depot option, then they are worth it. I am surprised that Star track are cheaper though?

I used Pack and send last week to send a rod and reel from Sydney to Townsville. No real issues at all (tracking didn't seem to update) but items arrived safely and quickly.

Pack and Send is the way to go. sent a Duff rod to NSW got there the next day after another courier failed to even pick the parcel up. Star track have stuffed up a lot of stuff I have has sent to me and have way to many procedures which makes the whole process harder than it needs to me.
