Fluorocarbon Leader .40mm-20lb

I'm looking at purchasing 20lb Fluorocarbon Leader, looks as though the 20lb is around the .40mm thickness.
Is .40mm about the norm for 20lb line.

thanks

Would there be a reason why they can't make it as thin as standard mono line

Fluorocarbon isn't as strong as nylon or copolymer. Fluoro is more used for its properties under the water i.e invisibility.

and it's also a lot more abrasion resistant that spinning fluoro, that's why it's thicker.
