Hi guys, long time no posting sorry. Myself and a mate will be going out in some shallow inshore reefs off of Redcliffe on Monday and I was wondering if you had any techniques that you could share for catching snapper during the day? As I have only caught snapper early morning, late afternoon and throughout the night. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Hoping to hook my mate up with his first snapper so fingers crossed, although I know its getting a bit late for them.

Said it yourself, starting to get a bit late, the bigger fish are moving to deeper water, there should still be plenty of little fish around in the shallows though. If you want to crack a decent fish be on the water and fishing your spots before the sun comes up. Depends how shallow your fishing but up to about 3m throw crank baits like osp power dunks or luckycraft pointer XD's and also there and deeper water start throwing something like a zman curly tail streak or the jerkbaits on light jigheads
